Privacy Policy: Starforge: Idle Blacksmith

Effective date: 5 November 2026

This policy explains what information the mobile game Starforge: Idle Blacksmith ("the game") uses, and why. The game is published by Ambeak ("we"). Contact: ambeaksupport@gmail.com.

1. The short version

2. Where your progress is stored

The game saves your progress, your settings (sound volumes, language, whether reminders are on) and your Store items in the game's private storage on your device. The game does not send your save anywhere; section 5 describes the summary of game statistics it sends us.

Cloud save. If you are signed in to Google Play Games, the game keeps a copy of your save in your own Google account, using Google Play Games' saved games, so that your progress follows you to a new phone or comes back after a reinstall. To do this the game receives your Play Games player identity from Google. It is used only to read and write that save; we do not receive or store it. You can delete the saved game, or sign the game out, in the Google Play Games app or in your Google account's settings.

Leaderboards. If you are signed in to Google Play Games, the game sends some of your game totals to Google Play Games leaderboards: coins earned, bosses defeated and items crafted, and, during an event, those since the event began, your play time and the event currency you earned. Other players can see your Play Games name, picture and these scores there, as your Play Games profile settings allow. After an event, the game asks Google for your place on its leaderboards so that the top players receive their reward. We do not receive your Play Games identity. If you are not signed in to Play Games, you do not appear on any leaderboard.

Android backup. If backup is turned on in your device's settings, Android includes the game's save in the backup of your own Google account, so that your progress comes back on a new phone or after a reinstall. That backup belongs to you and is handled by Google; we cannot see it. You can turn it off in your device's settings (Settings > Google > Backup).

3. The daily time check and the update check

To stop the daily gifts calendar and the daily bounties being claimed early by changing the device's clock, the game asks a Google web server what the current time is. The request contains no information about you or your game. As with any internet request, the server sees your device's IP address. We do not receive or store it.

Once a launch, the game also reads a small file from our website (ambeak-b3f84.web.app, hosted by Google Firebase) to see whether a newer version is on Google Play, and another with the dates of the next in-game event. Those requests contain no information about you or your game either; the server sees your device's IP address, and we do not receive or store it.

4. Reminders (notifications)

If you allow notifications, the game can remind you when your smithy has stopped, when your Daily Gift and new bounties are ready, when your Hourglass is full, or after a few days away. The game schedules these reminders on your phone when you leave it and cancels them when you come back. They are not sent from any server, and no information leaves your phone to create them. There are at most three a day and none at night. You can turn them off under Settings > Notifications in the game, or in your phone's notification settings. So that they still arrive after your phone restarts, the scheduled reminders are kept on your phone until they are shown or cancelled.

5. Game statistics

To see how the game is played and where players get stuck, the game sends us a short summary while it is open: when you start it, every five minutes, and when you leave it. The summary contains:

The summary is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), in the same Google project that hosts our website, and only we can read it. We use it only to understand and improve the game. It is not sold, shared or used for advertising. As with any internet request, Google's server sees your device's IP address; we do not receive or store it.

You can turn this off at any time under Settings > Share game stats. Turning it off stops the summaries and deletes the one we hold. A summary that has not been updated for 12 months is deleted.

6. Advertising

The game shows optional rewarded video ads: an ad plays only when you choose to watch one in exchange for a reward. Some newly started games also show a full-screen ad between screens, at most about once every 30 minutes of play; the Remove Ads purchase turns those off. There are no banners.

Ads are provided by Google AdMob. To show ads and measure them, Google may collect and use:

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the game asks for your choice before any ad is requested, and you can change it at any time under Settings > Privacy options in the game. Elsewhere, you can turn off ad personalisation or reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's settings (Settings > Google > Ads, or Settings > Privacy > Ads).

How Google uses this information is described at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and in Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

7. Purchases

In-app purchases are processed by Google Play. We never see or store your card number or other payment details. Google tells the game which items were bought, so the game can deliver them and restore them after a reinstall. Google's handling of payment information is covered by Google's privacy policy.

8. Permissions

The game asks you for one permission: notifications, on Android 13 and later. It asks after your first return to the game, or when you turn reminders on in Settings. You can say no; the game works the same without reminders.

It also declares permissions that Android grants without asking:

9. Children

The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Your choices and your data

The game statistics (section 5) are tied only to a random number, so we cannot tell which summary is yours; turning off Settings > Share game stats deletes it. Apart from that we hold no information about you. You can delete everything the game stores by uninstalling it or by clearing its data in your device's settings, and you can delete the Play Games saved game and your Android backup in your Google account. For information held by Google (advertising and purchases), use the controls in your Google account and device settings.

11. Reporting a problem

The game's Settings have a Report a problem button. It opens your own e-mail app with a new message to ambeaksupport@gmail.com that already lists the game's version, your phone's model, its Android version, the game's language and how far you have got (your Age and the furthest biome). You can read, change or delete any of it before sending, and nothing reaches us unless you send it. If you write to us, we receive your e-mail address and what you wrote. We use them only to answer you and fix the problem, and we delete them when they are no longer needed.

12. Changes to this policy

If the game starts using information differently, we will update this page and its effective date before the change reaches players.
